Pros and cons of preschool
Parenting April 1st, 2008As children grow up many parents consider sending their children to some nursery school and therefore preschool pros and cons take up their thoughts for many weeks. Let’s consider nursery school pros and cons once again.
PROS
- A nursery school is regularly inspected and checked
- Qualified teachers take care of children and teach in nursery schools
- Children will attend appropriate structured learning programme
- Many options of additional classes e.g. arts, theater, swimming pool classes, many trips and excursions
- Your child becomes self-reliant, learns how to communicate and cooperate with other children
- Nursery schools provide 3-4 meals a day so you don’t have to do it on your own
CONS
- The group can overshodow an individualist child
- A nursery school won’t take care of your child if its ill
- High fees may be an inconvenient disadvantage
- Parents are forced to follow the opening times of nursery school, they are usually open from 7a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
- Ratio of teachers to children does not assure full care of every child
