Remember to wear some longer t-shirt or a pullover on that day because you will have to walk from the place where you undress to the gynecological chair. You will feel more comfortable then.

What can you expect ?

It is good to know what to expect beforehand. You can ask your mother or any trusted person. After a conversation (the longer it lasts, the more information about your health the doctor will get) the doctor will ask you to sit on a gynecological chair and to put your legs into the appropriate knee crutches. First, you wil have your outer side of the abdomen examined, anomalies can be noticed in such a way. Then, the doctor will examine your vagina: he/she wil put with two fingers into the vagina and his/her hand onto your stomach. This way is appropriate for checking vagina, uterine tube and the uterus. Then he/she will put vaginal speculum into the vagina to examine its inner side.
Remember that virgins are examined through the rectum.
