Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be tiring

Spring is coming, the grass becomes greener and greener, the sun is shining brighter and brighter and you get more and more energy. It’s high time you spend some hours on refreshing your home! Take the tools of a perfect housewife and begin the fight with dirt! The biggest problem most of us face is how to organise the things properly so as to make the annual cleaning effective and pleasurable. Here are the tips how can things be done:

1. Make lists!

Make one list with food items and other things you need for your home, add and remove things before each trip to the supermarket. The basic list should be printed and copied and put on your fridge.

2. Create a calendar for your family!

Encourage all family members to write down important events and celebrations for them, add all the birthdays, holidays and other meetings. You can put chores for your family members!

3. Time planning is crucial!

You should organise household chores in the same way you organise office work. Creating fixed time for dealing with correspondence, paying bills, shopping will help you do it without hurry, in other words well. This rule should be applied to your free time too, plan your entertainment, a short nap if you need it.

Plan wisely

4. De-clutter!

Nothing makes impression of untidiness more than a pile of unnecessary things here and there. Start the cleaning with removing those things e.g clothes you no longer use, magazines, broken toys and objects. A useful tool for clean neat home is to put a shelf for each family member near the door. They will be able to put the things they use there. Finding them finally won’t be problematic.

5. Make annual fix-ups!

Most of the homes need it and it is good to organise them before the cleaning is done. Then, write down the dates and types of repairs so as you could remember about the next fix-up when it will be needed.

Apply these ideas to your everyday routine and you will no longer dislike spring cleaning.
