How to enjoy your work more
Career No Comments »You work to pay the rent. Frankly speaking, your job is the thing you dislike and you would take any opportunity to quit it. Sometimes the hatred towards your job is so strong that it causes health and emotional problems. You can’t let the situation happen so try to overcome the difficulties and enjoy your work more. The truth is that only people who enjoy what they’re doing are successful. The sooner your accept your work, the sooner you become sucessful.
There several ways you can do to enjoy your work more:
Improve your skills
Enroll to the courses, studies or workshops that will improve your skills. You’ll learn new things that might help you at work or you’ll just get involved in a hobby that interests you. Concentrating on your goal e.g. creating a project on your workshop that is not connected with the job will help you go through each day. You won’t concentrate on your hatred towards the job any more. The other advantage of evening language classes, workshops is that the filled calendar won’t let you think about responsibilities and tasks. Above all, new skills may help you find a new, fascinating job.
Practise sports
Even the shortest jogging or bike ride will improve your blood pressure and production of endorphin hormones (hormones of happiness) in the brain. This is the easiest way of improving your mood and becoming resistant to negative remarks. If you exercise your self-esteem is boosted and facing problems becomes a piece of cake. You will have more strength, more courage, more energy and more desire for life in general, in your job too.
Meet with friends
Meeting with friends, going out, to the cinema or for a dinner evokes positive emotions. Choose one day a week and organise a night with friends or a spa at home. There are so many options and ideas. The only principle you need to stick to is to listen to your needs. Do something for yourself and enjoy the company of your friends.
Search for a new job
Be creative and active. Going to job inteviews and sending applications, talking with friends will let the others know that you’re searching. That will also give a confidence that one day the perfect job will be waiting for you. As they say, the ideal job is the seventh job you have.
Follow these rules and you’ll forget about that you disliked your job.
