The article presents several ideas on eerie Halloween decorations for all parents and kids to enjoy.

If you don’t want a toy-like Halloween decoration and you need freak factor at home you can always create the decor of the haunted house. Not only should it contain visual scares but also some sounds which would petrify your guests.

Pumpkins

First of all, leave the steps to your home or front porch messy, leaves should be gathered everywhere, even inside so as to encourage spiders to inhabit your ceiling. You can also create artificial spiderweb from dark yarn and put plastic spiders to make it more realistic.

Finder cookies

Then, fill large glass jars with water dyed with blue coloring and submerge plastic or rubber body parts, skeletons and skulls in this fake formaldehyde. Place these containers in a visible place at home so as all your guests could see it.

Another idea is to replace the light bulbs with black or gray ones so as to make the room look dim, a strobe light will also do it.

Hang black or gray ribbons so as they created a curtain, you can also welcome your guests on a sheet that says: “Welcome in Mental Hospital” or something even more scary.

Black tablecloth

Place a black cloth on your table and serve only Halloween dishes, you will find plenty of recipes for various eerie meals in the web.

Put candles and candlesticks everywhere, let it be the only source of light, apart from dark light bulbs. You can pour wax on candlesticks to make them look older.

Put carved pumpkins on your shelves and window sill, place tea lights inside the pumpkin shell and enjoy a really scary pumpkin look.

Clean your cleaning equipment

Your cleaning equipment requires enough attention which will make them usable for a long time. Learn how to clean and store cleaning equipment.

A cleaning brush

Cleaning your equipment is equally important as cleaning the whole home. The same applies to their storage, there are several rules you should follow in order to make your cleaning easy and fast.
1. Bottles and jars should be kept out of reach of children on some high shelves or closed cupboards. Make sure all cleaning substances are correctly labeled, don’t keep them in old soft-drink bottles because you risk that poisonous detergents will be mistaken for them.
2. Wash dusters and cloths from time to time as this ensures their longevity.
3. Bristle brooms usually last longer if they are dipped in cold salted water before use. They should also be hanged on a hanger, bristles shouldn’t have a contact with the floor. Nylon brooms should be washed from time to time in warm water with an ordinary detergent, then dried. The same applies to broom cupboard with disinfectant or chlorine bleach, remember to leave the door open until it dries.
4. The vacuum cleaner should be emptied before it’s too full.
5. Food cupboards should be cleaned often because flour, crumbs and sticky bottles accumulate quite quickly. Take everything out and clean the shelves thoroughly with a solution of chlorine bleach. Remember to wipe the sticky bottles before putting them back to the cupboard. Throw away each food you have doubts about, you won;t eat it anymore.
6. Remove all your clothes from a wardrobe at least twice a year and clean the inside of the cupboard. Check all the clothes and shoes and throw away all those you no longer plan to wear. Mend, clean and sew all those items which demand that.
7. Toy cupboard is a place which gets messy most quickly. Remove or repair all broken toys and categorize them in several groups - large and small separately so as they wouldn’t crush each other.

Get down to work and organize things at home well.

Recycled notebooks

Crafts No Comments »

Recycled notebooks are the idea of Martha Steward who decided to create something environmentally friendly. I went for the same and created my own handmade book.

I do have plenty of paper which I used for my printer to print various documents and information and I adore notebooks of various kinds, I constantly buy them to note ideas, plans, data. Without them, I would never remember about things to do and no errands would be done by me. When I saw the video on the site I promised to myself to do such a notebook on my own.

What a fantastic thing to do, I thought, not only will I be eco but also I will have my favorite notebook. This way I created this:

A handmade notebook

It’s easier than you may expect. All you need is:
25 sheets of scrap paper
Paper cutter
2 binder clips
Ruler
Pencil
Stapler
decorative paper

The instructions are easy and simple, you have to cut 25 paper sheets precisely so they were of the same size. Put them together tightly with the printed part upside down and grab it with binder clips, they can’t move. Put a cover outside, it can be made of a little bit thicker paper, use a clean one. Use a stapler to stapple all the sheets together and place double-side sticky tape on the covers. You can create a cover of whatever type you like, it can even be a fabric. It all depends on you and your preferances.

Weekly cleaning chores

Cleaning No Comments »

Household chores may seem to be a Herculean task but with a cleaning plan and a list for chores to do weekly you can create a clean and neat surrounding for you and your family. How to do that?

Clean living room

You should clean often. Many of the helpful products on the market are fantastic for keeping a home clean but not quite drastic enough for cleaning up a dirty one. Getting dirt off is hard work whereas it’s easy to wipe over walls or doors in an odd half hour just to prevent the dirt from settling. At first, choose the priority and try to do the rest as often as you can. Every day:

- clear out rubbish

- burn paper

- shake doormats

- wash up

- vacuum

Your house needs polishing and dusting at least once a week. To clean effectively you can create a plan for removing dirt from all parts of your house. Every week you should follow the rules:

1. Open the windows

2. Remove flowers, empty ashtrays, waste-paper baskets, etc.

3. Vacuum curtains, upholstery and carpets.

4. Mop and polish the surrounds.

5. Dust window ledges, wainscotting and all polished furniture. Polish where necessary.

6. Shake the rugs before replacing them.

In the bedroom you should:

1. Strip and air the bed. Dust, brush and vacuum the bedstead and mattress. Make the bed.

2. Remove all ornaments from dressing-table and lay them on a newspaper on the bed; cover with dust-sheet.

3. Shake the curtains.

4. Vacuum the carpet or shake the rugs out of doors.

5. Mop and polish floor surrounds.

6. Dust and polish furniture.

7. Replace everything.

How to buy a wedding gown

wedding gowns
I was recently thinking about how to choose the perfect wedding gown for me. I’m planning a wedding now and I just need to find a dress that would be perfect for me. I need something unique and something which I will look good at. There are so many dresses available on the market that I can barely find a differences between them, yet, they are so different. Similar models make me look either strangely or gracefully. I wanted to have a short wedding gown but it turned out that short dresses look as though it was normal occasion. I told my fiance that the moment I decide I don’t look great enough, we’re not going to have any wedding anymore. We’ll see what happens. Any suggestions girls? I have so plenty of ideas and I don’t know how I should start.

How to buy a great wedding gown then?
